Manage user permissions and control data access
Object Navigator offers you a complete lightweight system for managing user permissions in your database application. This system can protect your database from an average user, who is not familiar with an advanced programming in Microsoft Access.
It is completely redesigned in ver. 3.0. Now you can setup the complete system inside your database through the wizard. It also offers you a user interface for managing database users, user groups and user permissions. The wizard automatically creates the tables (in Access and Microsoft® SQL Server®) for storing data about users, user groups and user permissions. These tables can be created in the current database or remote database.
What can you do with a user permissions system?
• Create database users
• Create user groups
• Assign permissions according to user groups or each user separately
• Control database objects opening
• Control data access (record add, edit and delete)
Three types of a database logins are available:
• A built-in, customizable login form which asks for username and password at the application launch
• Use Windows user login ID for entering the database
• Provide a username and password from the code
How to configure? With the Wizard! It is very easy, without programming.
